In order to monitor person’s activity and physical condition we are using wearable device which supposed to be worn all the time in order to ensure continuous flow of the readings - steps count, heart rate, sleep quality and fall detection. These readings are received by the application and transferred to our servers where sophisticated machine learning algorithms are building personal profile defining normal state of the particular person. If some of the controlled parameters are no longer correspond to the standard profile, system evaluates such deviations and produces notification. In this context and considering two main groups of the users - wearers are being monitored and use wearable device, while followers have access to the detailed information on the wearer in application and are notified in case of probable emergency.

 

Application supports both group of the users, even first one might not use application at all since after initial setup is done no other actions are required from the user. Considering focus on elderly audience we tried to make user experience for this group as easy as possible by limiting necessity of any interactions with the app. Followers, however are expected to use application quite regularly since to them this is main tool for getting information on whether everything ok or not with the persons they are following.
